Lucinda Belle is a multifaceted artist in terms of writing different genres of music. She’s also recorded two major albums and has been nominated for an Oscar. One wonders what Belle hasn’t accomplished.

With a seductive sound inspired by jazz and soul, Belle is back with a rerelease of Think Big: Like me.

The album reaffirms Belle’s perspective on what can be done with a harp as well as opening the door to new fans with a rerelease of the 2013 album.

Being a classically trained harpist and having her music centred around her amazing skill, Belle said, “My inspiration for this album was a ‘sound’ I discovered though ToeRag Studios which came about through recording the whole thing in a 50’s analogue studio. We went old school, we mastered our work in rehearsal and recorded it on old 50′ mics, mixers, desks, amps and springs. The result of which is a warmth that cannot be recreated digitally.”

Belle was also quoted saying, “I’ll be loving you was my first song on the album,… I wrote it still crying from the break up… and I put Don’t Go Chasing Your Heart at the end of the album to represent the transition and realization I’d been through, throughout the process. There’s something here for everyone I hope!”

While many of her songs feature a more melancholy sound, Belle has vocally filled the songs with so much power, her vocal prowess is relatable to that of Amy Winehouse and Adele.

Belle also backs up her powerful vocals with just as strong lyrics, which is very reminiscent of Patsy Cline.
